Body language basics

• Eye contact – the person is positively thinking about what is being said to them.
• Tight lips – holding yourself back from saying something offensive to somebody.
• Crossing arms – you are putting up a wall between yourself and others.
• Handshake with your hand palm out vertically, not up or down – feeling of equality.
• We tend to angle our body away from people we do not find interesting.
• Good posture portrays positive feelings about yourself and others.
• Standing too close to another person – being a pushy or domineering person.
